Three Photographs, Three Days.

I wanted to photograph something that changes regularly in my house. After finishing planning my work for half term i looked at my bed covered in books and in a mess and decided to focus on my bed. Being the biggest thing in my room taking and taking up most of the floor space i often leave things on it throughout the day.

I took each photograph at around mid afternoon on three consecutive days, this being the best time for natural light coming into the window. I took the shot whatever state my bed was in rather than setting the items up and trying to get a similar viewpoint each time. I'm not too sure what my opinion is on them i think as showing a change that happens and what is on the bed can relate to what has happened in the day works well as giving information on what i had been doing leading up to when it was taken.

If i can have your opinions in a comment as i cant make my mind up if there at all interesting or not. Thanks

  1. Your bed is not important in these images - its your focus, your subject - but in actuality the importance of the image lies in the atmosphere that is being created here. The quality of light changes in the room as you chose to photograph it at different times of the day - how then do the objects on or around your bed change during those qualities of light? What about when it is also dark outside. Also, its interesting to see the constants in the image - those things that don't change. It gives us something to latch onto. Also, your personality comes through based on how your sheets are messed as we can see movement and frustrations and laziness. Interesting idea.
